Os procedimentos são realizados de forma escalonada, evitando-se a combinação (cirurgia em conjunto), visto que esses pacientes apresentam uma situação cicatricial e de resposta aos traumas cirúrgicos bem diferentes de outros não submetidos a procedimentos bariátricos.

Lifting de braço, também conhecido como braquioplastia, tem o objetivo de tratar o excesso de pele e de gordura, sempre associados a flacidez, entre a axila e o cotovelo, motivo de queixas frequentes principalmente ao balançar o braço (teste do tchauzinho). A dermolipectomia crural, também conhecida como cruroplastia ou lifting das coxas,  é a designação dada à cirurgia plástica das coxas. Tem por objetivo retirar o excesso de gordura, pele e flacidez dessa região, que costumam se apresentar e acumular na face interna das coxas, ocasionando atrito ao caminhar, processos inflamatórios e infecciosos de repetição (dermatites) e desconforto estético com uso de certos tipos de roupas. Por ser uma cirurgia com um pós operatório um pouco mais trabalhoso, alguns pacientes ficam em dúvida se vale a pena ou não realizar. Mas, como tudo em cirurgia plástica, sendo bem criteriosa a indicação e com o entendimento e acompanhamento correto do pós cirúrgico, os benefícios gerados superam, em muito, o trabalho com os cuidados locais.
